Terms of Service

Effective July 2026 · Hershey Lawn Mowing · Hershey, PA

These keep things simple and fair for both of us: what you get, what you pay, and how it works. I’ve written them in plain English on purpose — no fine-print games.

The short version

  • • One flat, all-inclusive price per mowing visit — mow, trim, edge & blow, every time.
  • No contract. Pause or stop anytime.
  • • You tell me the lawn’s condition; I confirm it in person and adjust the price up or down — always shown to you before you’re charged.
  • • Pay now by card, or pay after your visit by Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, cash, or check.
  • • Each service covers a clear list below. Anything outside it, just ask and I’ll quote it.

1. Our agreement

When you book a service, request a quote, or accept a visit from Hershey Lawn Mowing (“we,” “I,” “us”), you agree to these terms. They cover residential lawn and property care in Hershey, Hummelstown, Palmyra, and Derry Township, PA. Questions before you book? Call or text (223) 289-0934.

2. What each service includes — and doesn’t

Every service covers a specific, clearly listed set of work. This is here so you know exactly what you’re paying for, and so nobody has to have an awkward “can you also just…” conversation in the driveway. Need something outside a list? No problem — just ask and I’ll give you a price.

Lawn mowing (all-inclusive visit)

One flat price covers the whole cut, every visit.

Included

  • Mowing all standard, mowable turf at the agreed height
  • String-trimming around trees, beds, fences, posts, and obstacles
  • Hard-edging along driveways, sidewalks, and curbs
  • Blowing clippings off driveways, walkways, and patios
  • Light clippings mulched back into the lawn (bagging on request or where needed)

Not included

  • Leaf cleanup or bagging fallen leaves — that’s Leaf Removal
  • Trimming hedges, shrubs, or anything above ~8 ft — that’s Hedge Trimming
  • Weeding flower beds, gardens, or mulched areas — that’s Weeding (a separate service)
  • Tall weeds or brush in the lawn — thistle, woody stems, saplings, or anything a mower can't cleanly cut. These may need a brush cutter (not currently offered) or hand-cutting at the hourly weeding rate. I'll let you know what I see and quote it before charging.
  • Hauling away branches, heavy debris, or piled yard waste
  • Areas that are unsafe, locked/inaccessible, or under standing water
  • Please clear the lawn first — pick up toys, hoses, and pet waste before your visit

Hedge & bush trimming

Priced by height, type, and number of bushes.

Included

  • Trimming and shaping hedges and bushes to a clean, even finish
  • Tidying the trimmings from the immediate work area

Not included

  • Hauling large brush piles off-site (quoted separately if you’d like it)
  • Tree limbs or anything needing a chainsaw or climbing
  • Stump, root, or full shrub removal
  • Very tall hedges (over ~10–12 ft) or work needing a tall ladder or lift — assessed on-site
  • Ornamental or topiary shaping beyond a clean trim

Leaf removal (seasonal cleanup)

Priced by yard size and leaf load.

Included

  • Collecting and removing leaves from your turf areas
  • A final blow-down of the lawn and hard surfaces

Not included

  • Leaves from roofs, gutters, or planting beds unless we agree to it up front
  • Ongoing pickup between scheduled cleanups
  • Separate yard-waste piles that aren’t part of the agreed cleanup
  • Leaves frozen down under snow or ice

Snow removal (electric snow-blower — driveway)

Clearing your driveway with an electric snow blower, per event.

Included

  • Clearing your driveway of typical snow with an electric snow blower
  • Your front walkway too, if you add it

Not included

  • Salting, de-icing, or chipping packed ice
  • Roofs, decks, stairs, or commercial lots
  • Very deep or heavy wet snow beyond one pass — a second pass or reschedule may be quoted
  • Moving vehicles — please clear the driveway of cars first

Weeding (garden & flower beds)

Hand-weeding, priced by bed size or hourly — time-intensive work billed fairly.

Included

  • Hand-pulling weeds from the agreed garden and flower beds
  • Tidying up the weeds we pull
  • Hand-tool work on tough weeds (deep roots, thistle, stubborn growth) — billed at the hourly rate so you're never rushed through it

Not included

  • Chemical or herbicide weed killer (this is hand-weeding only)
  • Mulching, re-edging beds, or planting
  • Removing established shrubs, roots, or invasive root systems
  • Woody brush or thick saplings that need a brush cutter or string trimmer with blade — I don't currently offer brush cutting. If it's beyond hand tools, I'll let you know and refer you out rather than charge you for struggling through it.
  • Ongoing weeding between scheduled visits

Gutter cleaning (single-story / ground level)

First-floor gutters, priced by home size.

Included

  • Clearing leaves and debris from your first-floor gutters by hand
  • Bagging and removing the debris
  • Checking that downspouts flow freely
  • Two-story home? Your ground-level runs (garage, porch, extensions) still count

Not included

  • Second-story, third-story, or roof-height gutters — I only work from a ground-level ladder
  • Gutter repair, resealing, or re-hanging
  • Installing gutter guards or covers
  • Roof debris removal, washing, or power-washing
  • Anything requiring roof access or a steep/unsafe setup

3. Your lawn’s condition & my on-site assessment

You describe your lawn or property as best you can when you book. I confirm the actual condition in person on the first visit and adjust the price up or down from there — and I’ll always show you any change before you’re charged. Please report condition (height, size, access) as accurately as you can so the quote starts close; the on-site look is the final word.

In practice: an instant quote is an estimate based on what you tell me (size, grass height, access). Your first visit is where I confirm the real condition. If it’s materially different from what was described — for example, the grass is 12 inches when it was reported at 6 — I’ll adjust the price and show you the new number before doing the work or charging anything. If it’s smaller or easier than described, the price can go down too.

4. Pricing, changes & payment

Mowing is one flat, all-inclusive price per visit. Add-on services (hedges, leaves, snow, weeding) are priced separately using the estimators on the pricing page. A price may change only for a clear reason: the on-site condition differs from what was described, grass is overgrown and needs a heavier first cut, or you add work. I’ll always confirm any change with you first.

How to pay: your choice.

  • Pay now — securely by card (or Cash App Pay) when you book.
  • Pay after your visit — I’ll send a simple invoice you can pay by card, or you can use Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, cash, or check.
  • Auto-pay — save a card once and I’ll charge it automatically after each visit (details below).

For pay-after-visit and ongoing service, payment is due when you receive the invoice for a completed visit. There’s no contract and no lock-in — you’re only ever billed for work that’s been done.

Saving a card & auto-pay (optional)

Auto-pay is entirely optional — you turn it on yourself from your customer portal, and you can turn it off just as easily anytime. When it’s on, here’s exactly what you’re agreeing to:

  • • Your card is stored securely by our payment processor, Square. I never see or store your full card number.
  • • After a visit is completed, your saved card is charged for that visit — the flat mowing price plus any add-ons you agreed to.
  • • If the on-site price differs from what was quoted, I’ll confirm the new amount with you before charging. No surprises.
  • • You’re only ever charged for work that’s actually been done — never in advance, and there’s no contract or lock-in.
  • • Turn auto-pay off anytime in your portal, or just ask me. If a charge is ever declined, I’ll let you know and you can pay another way.

Tips are always optional and never expected. If you’d like to add one, you can tip per visit from your portal, or set a standing tip percentage that’s added automatically to each visit — calculated on that visit’s price. You can change or remove a standing tip anytime, and 100% of every tip goes to the person who did the work.

5. Scheduling, weather & access

Service runs weekdays 8 am – 2 pm, by route. You don’t need to be home — I just need safe access to the yard (an unlocked gate or a gate code). If a locked gate, parked car, or off-leash dog blocks access, I may have to skip that visit; I’ll always let you know.

Weather happens. If it’s too wet to mow without tearing up your lawn, I’ll reschedule rather than damage it — that’s a judgment call I make in your lawn’s best interest. Please clear the lawn of toys, hoses, and pet waste before your visit so I can do a clean, safe job.

6. Cancelling, pausing & stopping

No contract, ever. You can pause or cancel ongoing service anytime — just text or call, or (soon) manage it from your customer portal. If you need to cancel a specific scheduled visit, a heads-up the day before is appreciated so I can adjust the route. Prepaid seasonal plans are prorated to visits actually completed.

7. If something’s not right

I stand behind the work. If a visit missed something within the service’s scope, tell me within 3 days and I’ll come back and make it right at no charge. (Requests for work outside the agreed scope are a new quote, not a re-do — see section 2.)

8. Property, safety & responsibility

I treat your property with care and use quiet, all-electric equipment. To keep everyone safe, please flag or remove hidden hazards before your visit — sprinkler heads, invisible-fence wires, buried cables, landscape lighting, pet stakes, rocks, or anything hidden in tall grass. I’m not responsible for damage to unmarked or concealed items, for pre-existing conditions, or for issues caused by inaccurate access or condition information. Where I’m responsible for a loss, my liability is limited to the cost of the affected service. Nothing here limits any rights you can’t waive under Pennsylvania law.

9. Photos & staying in touch

I may text or email you about your quote, scheduling, visits, and invoices — that’s part of the service, not marketing spam, and you can opt out of non-essential messages anytime. I only use before/after photos of your lawn for marketing if you’ve given permission.

10. Updates to these terms

I may update these terms occasionally (new services, clearer wording). The current version always lives here with its effective date. Continuing to use the service means you accept the latest version.

Questions about any of this? I’m a real local person — just ask.
